Dr. Niza Tonarely-Busto is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based assessment and treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and other emotional and behavioral concerns in children, adolescents, and young adults. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami, where she completed her predoctoral internship at the Mailman Center for Child Development and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Treatment (CAMAT) Program.
Dr. Tonarely-Busto previously served as clinical faculty at the University of Miami and as Clinical Director of the CAMAT Program, where she provided clinical services, supervision, and training in evidence-based interventions for youth and families. She continues to supervise and train developing clinicians and is particularly passionate about helping clinicians translate evidence-based treatment principles into flexible, individualized clinical practice.
Dr. Tonarely-Busto is a certified trainer in the Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C and UP-A). Her clinical expertise also includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure-based interventions, parent-based treatment, and treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder and related conditions. She has specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and PEERS®.
Dr. Tonarely-Busto is the co-founder of The Center for Assessment and Transdiagnostic Treatment (T-CATT), a private practice serving children, adolescents, adults, and families in South Florida. Her work emphasizes evidence-based, developmentally informed, and individualized approaches to assessment and treatment. She provides services in both English and Spanish.
